truthfully i was running out of space and trying to minimize my electric bill.

I had several computers with dedicated VPN connections to clients as I was working as their help desk.
but since they weren't in constant use there was no real need to keep them running all the time or dedicate space for them with or without a KVM.

Blackneto's last blog post..Proud Of My Girls

Thanks for the advice. I've played around with VM for a few things, but will take a look at it for hosting systems. The 'play' boxes are some computers I never got around to getting rid of, so they're game to experiment with.

Maybe a little help with George.
Try VMWare.

I was suffering from system creep about 4 years ago.
Then i bought VMWare Workstation to virtualize seldom used system.
The snapshot feature is great for testing configurations.
The Team feature is great for testing client/server apps.

The Free Server version allows snapshots now but not Team features.
