But they are a reality in our society now, as of 2007, a $90 billion reality, a full 10% of which does not get redeemed each year. I was so annoyed with having a bunch of small value gift cards around that I created a site for people to transfer their remaining value to PayPal, www.cashfromcards.com. Sorry for the self-promotion, but I created this service out of my own frustrations and think it will benefit others. Love your blog.
