nature Welcome to the Saturday Roundup of Credit Withdrawal posts and other interesting posts around the blogosphere. Last week I was 'tagged' by a couple of people, notably Jaimie at PaidTwice, and Kyle at Rather Be Shopping, (thanks everyone!!).

The 123 Book Meme

"Grab the nearest book that has at least 123 pages, open it to page 123, and count down 5 sentences. Then, type the next three sentences here. Then 'tag' 5 other people/blogs."

My closest book is "Enterprise Architecture Using the Zachman Framework" (yes I am an Ubergeek).

Page 123, 5 sentences down goes,..

"In a general partnership, two or more co-owners engage in business for profit. Typically, the partners own the business assets together and are personally liable for business debts. In the absence of a partnership agreement, profits are shared equally among the partners."

Wow, nice little definition of a general partnership, in a book about Enterprise Architecture for software development. Finance learning everywhere!

So My Tagees are,..

So, there it is. Have a nice weekend Y'all!

From Credit Withdrawal this week

I was Carnival'd-out last week (flu and such) so didn't contribute to any. I'll have to get on that this weekend.

Blog Spotlight:

The Blog Spotlight is where I single out the best blog entry I've come across each week, along with a short description of why I liked it.

All Financial Matters What Do You Actually DO For A Living?

Working in the 'information field' as Meg puts it, I know EXACTLY how she is describing the feeling of not accomplishing anything at the end of the day. Even the software that I and my team made fades into obsolescence almost as soon as it's deployed.

Making a lasting impression in the world is getting harder and harder as the world gets progressively more 'virtual'. Job satisfaction suffers because there's no connection between the work and a completed object/deliverable (sometimes there IS no actual deliverable).

It's an insightful article that captures the difficulties of working in our information society today.

I did get REAL motivated today and picked my favorites from my ENTIRE blogreader, so it's a scary long list.
