goals Glbl at Gather Little By Little pinged me yesterday to update my monthly goals.

If you remember I set a S.M.A.R.T. goal for 2008 and now that it’s the end of January, it’s time to see how things are going.

Unfortunately I didn’t make my goal this month of replacing my $1500 mortgage with alternate (non-salary) income, but I did make a pretty good attempt for the first month.

  • Side Consulting -  I made $500 from a side consulting job I did. Unfortunately this is only a one-time deal, so I can’t repeat it this month.
  • Blog Advertising - As this blog is relatively young, it’s not surprising that my ad revenues only came to $50.

This means that I’m going to have to work to get more revenue to replace the consulting job I did, and to try to increase the advertising revenue as well.

Non-Monetary Accomplishments

Some non-money things that I’m proud of for this month are;

  • Subscribers are Up - I doubled my subscribers from 61 on Dec 31st to 131 a few days ago. Subscribers to this blog seem to be VERY consistent. All blogs have swings in readership, as feedburner only counts those readers that actively read the feed. So either I have readers that READ EVERY DAY. Or I have quite a few MORE readers that read every other day. Either way, it’s a great improvement.
  • Group Project Participation - I participated in a number of groups projects with the M-Network group, including the "Money for All Ages" and an upcoming "Homeownership Roundup" that is already in the works for Feb 1st.
  • Social Website Submissions - I’ve had quite a few of the posts here Stumbled, Digg’d, Reddit, and Propellered, which gets the word out to the world on the articles I’ve written. Again, thanks to my readers for the support and all the social submissions. I appreciate it!!
  • Guest Posts - I’ve made a guest post over at Gather Little by Little, and have some more offers for guest posts AND REQUESTS FOR GUEST POSTS HERE so look for my articles elsewhere and new articles from both established bloggers, and up-and-coming bloggers here at CW.

Thank you for taking time to stop by, and if there’s anything you’d like to see written about, drop me a line at tips@creditwithdrawal.com and I’ll see if I can get it scheduled.

We hope you liked the article, Subscribe to the Feed and get our articles every day!
